The most important beat tape from my crew is still Steal Sound (2004). Manimal handed it out on cassette to a few folks and that was it. He didn’t talk about it before it came out, and he didn’t really talk much about it afterward. Finishing Steal Sound was an invitation to get to do more of what he loved—finding records and making beats.

Not saying this is Steal Sound-level work, but it’s with this influence and legacy I share LIKE WE CAN.

Honoring the past by loving what’s next. Growing, learning, and cycling that back into what we create. LIKE WE CAN is our ability to rep for what’s possible as artists and crew. When we “Just Make Stuff” (thank you BZ), share it, and keep going.
